Ween – Object Lyrics 16 years ago
I should also mention that when he says he's "going to do something wrong" he probably means his grief is so great, that he's contemplating suicide.

I can't see why everyone seems to think this is about a psychopathic killer.

To me, it sounds like, at first it is a very sexual demeaning song to women; the love of his life is nothing but an object to him, a piece of meat and he can do whatever he wants with her.

But then the song shifts. He talks about how dreams don't always come true, and the final verse mentions that "I feel a little better, they found your sweater..." which signifies to me that he is repressing his emotions about someone he loved dearly that went missing, or was killed and all he has left of her is her sweater.

If he was a killer, why would he feel GOOD about the police getting one step closer to solving his crime? No. It makes more sense that he is reducing the memory of someone he loved to that of an object; in this case her sweater.

System of a Down – Holy Mountains Lyrics 17 years ago
The song could be about the Armenian genocide, or it could possibly be about the war with Iraq; though Aras doesn't go through Iraq, it DOES cross Iran, and the liar, killer, demon without honor could possibly be George Bush declaring war, or even Al Qaeda with their initial attack on the US. I believe this may be the case as other songs from Hypnotize and Mesmerize are also about the war (BYOB, Soldier Side, Attack, Hypnotize, Cigaro, etc) while most of the other songs on the albums are about declining moral trends at home, either in part of the current state of the country since entering the war or just in general.

Muse – Apocalypse Please Lyrics 18 years ago
My interpretation of the lyrics is beyond the obvious chosen words. I do not think that religion has anything to do with it, and that the line "It's time for something biblical" only means a big event. Something should happen to make everyone realize the farce of a life that people are living in todays society, living more like machines than human beings. It's a theme that is echoed throughout the Absolution album. People should think for themselves, think outside the box, and allow themselves to be heard, no matter the consequence. In asking for an apocalypse, he wants a change. Destruction breeds creation.
