i love this song, it my fave from him.
i have always loved this song but i didnt really think about its meaning until recently. when i saw what josenose said what he thought it meant it gave me goosebumps because that song was written for me. well not really, but that excat situation happened to me, this guy cheated on me and this entire song is like the story of what happened after... which blew my mind. ha

well to answer your question i think he whispers "i am so vile..." and yeah the rest is right. it makes sense both with the other lines and if he didnt think this girl was so in love with him at first. so yeahh.
