Love the song and the multiple ways of looking at it but I see it as... “I believe that fate has brought us here And we should be together, babe But we're not” “I try to say goodbye and I choke I try to walk away and I stumble Though I try to hide it, it's clear: My world crumbles when you are not near” Basically she is in love with someone whom she most defiantly has a past with; that may or may not have halted negatively. It seems that she had her dead bolt locked in fear of getting hurt or what ever the case must be again but she uses these lyrics and this song to tell the person, that she wouldn’t like anything more then to try it again. So she is basically ready to stop using her dead lock because it is safe and she is ready to open up to this person again. |
