I feel like this song was written just for me. I truly do. This man is just recalling times that he spent with a former lover living in LA. He can't go back to LA because he knows that it will just be so strange not going to her house to see her or drive together holding hands and saying, "I love you" at the strangest times. He knows that he would die if he saw her, because it brings up all of these good times, but he also knows that he would die if he didn't see her there, because he truly does want to see her. He knows that its for the best if he stays away from LA just to get over the whole situation. On the "Where The Light Is" version, he adds in two other phrases in which he describes that he will always see her from afar. He'll see how she turned out without him in her life. He'll always compare her to other females that he meets and wonder what they could have had if they were still together now. This song is absolutely beautiful and I wish John played it at the concert I saw on Tuesday :D Fantastic! |

I think this song is about a couple that has spent so much time with one another, but they are bracing themselves for a departure. The female in this relationship could be moving away or she is just in another step of her life. They both want to work it out in the end. The lyrics such as: "Anywhere you go, anyone you meet Remember that your eyes can be your enemies" And "The rain is gonna fall, the sun is gonna shine The wind is gonna blow, the waters gonna rise" Signify that days will pass when they won't see one another, but they will still be there for each other and still be deeply in love. The line. "But no ones giving up quite yet, we've got too much to lose" says just that. I haven't completely sat down and analyzed the whole song (yet!) but this is just a loose interpretation of what I think the song is about! :) :) Thoughs? |

I think this song is about a relationship that no one can know about. The first line, "Wait there, just enough to see you smile" makes me think that he wants to see her face, but he obviously cannot go up to her because people will know that they are together. He can never "publish his love" because the relationship between them is under wraps ;] |

This song is just lovely, really! I can't believe someone hasn't commented on it yet, so I figured I would! ;] This song is pretty easy to interpret. It's obviously about a couple in love with one another and the singer expresses that he would travel 9 hours to see the person that he loves... South on I-95. Absolutely adorable. Just put it on a mix for a cute boy who lives about 9 hours away from me. Perfect ;] |
