I think its a pretty obvious statement for a band like this to make. I think they're saying no matter how wrong you think the way they're running they're band is, no matter how wrong you think what they're doing is, it doesn't matter. | i don't see how when against me! plays rock'n'roll bullshit everyones like "ZOMG! R'N'R!" but when playing oh say up the cuts (which has the exact same meaning), theyve sold out. I think against me! has had the same views all along, even in the basement and laundery mat type shows. | |

"Feels like you already said so much, feels like you can never say enough." As in no matter how much critisicm their back stabbing original fanbase (which i find funny that they can say they are the "true fans" of AM!), they can't change the directiom of the band. |

I think this song is about not regretting anything you've done and how someone who can't say they've acomplished anything (or much) can't compare to some who can. The first stanza tells when "boat rockers" and people who don't take risks and stuff meet up at death, the ones who "lived there life to the metal" are just burying a little part of them and the ones who never rocked the boats are putting every part of them into the ground. "souls no God can save." = A soul that will never entirely be in rest. The second stanza talks of how his thoughts and dreams and all that fancy stuff takes him "across the sea" to new and exciting things. "I could write my own damn symphony" means Chris could write a great piece of work with all of the stories he has. Due to it being a symphony. he also means something others could only play, something they could never do. People who don't take chances can't compare to people who do. |

I think this song is about how "anarcho punx" don't look at the punk scene seriously enough. hence the title. "Miracle cures offered to sedate the friend of the flesh saves for the benefit while the words of the charade save for convenience. Will there ever be a time?" could mean bigger labels(miracle cures) even as small as No Idea offer to give these bands that are close to the scene (friend of the flesh) for a good reason (benefit) such as making there message more widespread were key songs (like they've done with theyre newer records (From her Lips..., White People). the rhetorical question basically means, people, most likley anarcho punks would consider this selling out, making it seem more like a coporate thing rather than them just trying to get a serious message out. Anarcho's aren't taking the moves very seriously, or are just kinda "Shit Strolling" the idea of moving up in the label world. |
