| Laura Marling – My Manic and I Lyrics

Well I think this song is about someone with mental disorders and the things that happen to someone with them. Such as putting faith in "gods" which I don't think has to mean religion just the belief that something that doesn't have an affect onyour life does for exaample people with OCD turning lightswitches on and off before they leave a room thinking this will impact them and also Insomnia "morning is mocking us" and depression.
Great observation by TheSk8ingFreak and as for L.A.D.S.claim I doubt you are her friend as you seem like too much of a dick to have friends. |

It's the number you dial on a house phone to see who last person who called that phone was by repeating that persons number. Well it is in Scotland anyway. |

shavedpussypoetry they quote the bible to show the sexism of Christianity. That quote shows that the bible says woman is somehow less than man or in debt to man because without man their would be no woman. |

| Simon and Garfunkel – At The Zoo Lyrics

I realy like some of the ideas already suggested but I think the zoo could be society and the animals are different types of people and how we are all together the last line "What a gas! You gotta come and see At the zoo." perhaps means you should stand back and look at the world and how crazy it is. |

I know what you mean but I don't think sarcastic is the correct word. I think their are a few ways to interprit this song. The "sarcastic" way in which the social worker isover-emphasizing what she can do but realy won't do anything. Or the way that this boys only family/friend is his social worker, realy it should be his mum or dad saying these words to him but at the end it is revelead to be his social worker. Or mayby it's completly different, what do I know? |

Genrally in Glasgow when a young male dies (especialy murdered) people as a tribute leave Flowers and Football tops which is where the title comes from. I don't know if this phenomenon is unique to Glasgow or not but it certainly is not unique to the Kris Donald story. |

| Pixies – There Goes My Gun Lyrics

I hear "you whore" or "ho" which would make sense It could be about a man seeing his wife cheating on him shouting he shoots her- there goes his gun. All you smart arses quoting the "Doolittle" book PLEASE STOP! It has errors in it, such as saying Joey, not Kim does backing vocals. |

This is so obviosly about Samson and Dalilah it's unbelievable their is any debate. It isn't even up for interpritation the only thing it could do more is say the names Samson or Dalilah. If you watch the Pixies acoustic performance on youtube or dvd Charles introduces this song as the Samson and Dalilah song. |

Maybe about being stoned "My eyes so big, the color of the room" "I can tell the whole room is plotting against me" 'Cause you know it makes your eyes go weird and you get paranoid. |

The line "Eating pizza is really great!
So is destroying everything you hate!" Is my favourite song lyric ever it combines youth culture with destruction. Perfect for me being a destructive youth! |

I hear "I'll FIND a brand new friend" not I've got. And it sucks that the Americans didn't get this on their version as it's one of the best songs on the album in fact the 3 songs left off are my favourite songs on it. Universal realise Marylin Manson, eminem, 50 cent and Nine Inch Nails but this is too violent? What cocks! |

I think the "nothing to do" is because it was all the hippy shit at the time and punk hadn't been invented. So they had nothing to do in that society. |
