i kind of agree with here2solve on the
"And I scream, and nobody listens
And I scream, yet everyone's louder" part. it's a little strange, but i just read the scarlet letter, and those two lines (along with drawing the devil) reminded me a bit of the book. in the book the reverend has sinned and when he tries to confess, the people of the town don't take him seriously and they just praise him more for being so humble and allegorical. that sort of goes along with some people's "the pastor is the murderer" theory, so i just thought i'd throw that out there. |

the "died for nothing" line seems kind of religious to me, like maybe the victim isn't religious. and it's kind of a contrast to the "so help me god" lines of the religious killer. that's not really a complete idea, sorry if it doesn't make sense. |

nice discovery.
it seems like the numbers have a lot to do with figuring this out.
personally, i'm way confused. i need to spend some time looking deeper into this. |

"Turn, turn the wheels of horror.
You'll hang for what you've done."
that part sort of confuses me. because she didn't hang, she fell. but i guess it does with the chandelier comparison though.
it seems like "i fail to recognize my hand as part of the problem" wouldn't really be something the killer would say, but it's more of a dialogue from stills letting us know that the killer has some sort of psychological issue (obviously haha) that prevents him from placing the blame on himself? |

i really like this song. and i don't think the lyrics are bad, sure, they don't have a deep hidden meaning. the straightforward and witty approach works well with the song. |

"Your wounds are opening wide And they might be just my size" to me is saying "hey, let's have sexual intercourse".
i know there's more to it than that, it's kind of a sexual innuendo or double meaning i guess. beautifully written.
one of my all time favorites. |
