"you, you, you..." It's a boring ballad. I prefer "Waiting" or "Redundant". I'm listening to the new album right now and not liking... They will never do anything better than Dookie or Insomniac. Now they even have pianos in their songs!!! It's just sad...
Well, it's my opinion, they probably have more fans now than ever. |

This song is about drugs. The chorus says it all. When he is on drugs he is "free", "careless", he can "fly" above all the others. He even cries of happiness ("brings tears to my eyes"). Still, he knows that drugs are bad and he should keep himself clean, which explains the song title. It is a "sacrifice" trying to live without it.
The guy has been away from drugs for a while, but he couldn't resist anymore ("Hello my friend we meet again ... feels like forever"). He remembers the good times with girls he had when he was high ("memories of perfect love"). Then he says it is good to be high again ("It feels so good to reunite") after a time off drugs when he had his "ups and downs". But finally, he found peace again ("let's find peace there").
"I just want to say hello again" means he just want to do it one more time.
Creed fans, don't shoot me, please. I'm just joking. I was listening to my playlist at random and the next song after "My sacrifice" was "Where is my mind?", so I came up with this idea.
I like Creed mostly because of Tremonti's skills, not for their lyrics, but I think this song is about coming back to an ex-girlfriend and the sacrifice is to live without her. |

I love the music. It is really intense. But the lyrics are not that good. I think they are not at the same level. I feel something is missing. It is too simple and too repetitive. The music deserves better lyrics. Anyway, I like to hear it when I'm driving at night. Love the guitar riff when he sings "the city, the city, the city..." It is also simple, but intense. |

This new album starts really powerful (like Smash or Ixnay) and then it gets softer as the songs pass. This one almost sounds like an U2 song. I don't know if i like. I have to listen to it more times to be sure. About the meaning, i think is about a guy who loves a girl in trouble (drugs, depression, etc..) and wants to help her, so she can look at him like he wants her to. He wants her to be clean to love him.
P.S.: I'm listening to next song (Let's hear it...) now and it sounds like a powered version of "message in a bottle". Weird... |

The title "roads" lead me to a crossroad in your life and then you have to make a decision, you have to choose a way. I think this song is about making the wrong or hard decision and dealing with it "How can it feel this wrong?". Nobody helps you and you are all alone, fighting for what you believe. I think it can be related to a number of situations in our lives, like love, job, school, being a "kid" or a "grownup", like someone said above. |

I did the same that punkbooty93 did. I haven't heard this song for a long time and now it just played on the radio and I had to stop, come to this site and look at the lyrics. About the meaning, I think it is about a dead sister too. Maybe an older sister that was like a second mother for the kid, that's what the part "all i am begins with you" tells me. Anyway, it is a great song! |

I like to listen to this song when i'm driving my car in a big city in a raining afternoon. can you understand this feeling i'm trying to explain? Either the traffic and the crazy speed of the city life can´t affect me. It just calm me down. I even want to keep driving indefinitely to long this feeling. There are a lot of songs from SP that makes me feel this way. Anyway, this song is one of my personal SP best of. |
