The International Date Line is the imaginary line on the Earth that separates two consecutive calendar days. So in a way, it is what seperates time in a certain place...even though the idea of time can be very subjective. In this song, which is freakin awesome, I believe that the narrator is in a place she/he doesn't want to be, and she is trying to cross over to another time, or international dateline. If you might want to look at in a deeper sense, the international dateline could maybe be crossing over into your dreams or possibly death, because whenever or whoever crosses that line, time is indifferent. |

wow. dido is so real and honest in her music. i couldnt place how i felt about someone, basically because i didn't want to admit it. i am what i am and do what i want. but i cant hide from myself how i feel. dido said it perfectly. there is someone i like. i didnt like him at first..but i did grow to like him (i didnt think that was possibly for me) and i would be lying on his bed and perfectly content and really, there was no place else i would rather be. well...i never told him how i felt. he never told me how i felt. but i know its there. he had to leave..and the first few nights i felt so empy and alone..and felt that i couldnt function or feel the same without him just laying by me. dido..you are amazing..and i really thank you for your brutally honest and beatiful songs. |
