It certainly is passionate.. To be honest, I have never found any of DM's songs to be drug related..they have such presence and depth... I love this song just because it has such a feel-good factor; finding the place in life where you are actually happy... |

I reckon it's several things... Ultimately I reckon it's about a life journey, a personal one which is to do with both Dave and Martin... The video says as much... And you end up crawling along... alone.... or the alternative... Blatently, I see it as being with someone and not... like two different takes... {All based on the video, mind...!} One his own, he fails, eventually... but we see him with the woman he loves, laughing at that alternative image... |

Personally, I reckon Dave has written this for Martin... A very powerful emotional song that is almost like words and feelings (partly of anger...) that you have inside your head after a relationship has ended... but the hope that it will resolve and that there are still feelings... |

This is a great song... Complicated both musically and lyrically...
Personally, I think he's fallen for someone that is in a relationship and that relationship is an unhappy and repressive one and one where she is only staying in it because that's all she knows; the repression, so she's blind to his feelings for her, she is scared of the world because of the repression and she's helped trap herself in the spiders web by giving and loving openly. He doesn't want her to change, he wants her to shine...

At first i thought the song was just a love song... Showing love and care for someone...
But now I think the verse's are what he is telling her and the chorus is what's in his mind; how he's thinking... Seems to be about a typical male attitude to 'wooing' a woman... |
