| Wrong and wrong. Iggy Pop is known for his brilliant sarcasm. When society accommodates you with everything you could possibly have, your life lacks substance. This song also expresses the shallowness of boredom and how "bored" has become just one of those words that mean nothing and that people merely throw around as a euphemism for their emptiness. Moreso a very poetic satire of a bourgeois plane of existence than an expression of real boredom. Boredom is simple. It's the way people use the word that is complicated. | |
