| Eminem – 97' Bonnie And Clyde Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song makes me sick each time i hear it. Like literally. No joke. And I feel like crying. Maybe I'm a girl, but I dunno. It just really gets to me... Why the hell do i listen to it? I dunno. I like eminem. :/ |

| Eminem – 3 A.M. Lyrics | 16 years ago |
yeah, but he is one of the most talented rappers i have ever heard. Scratch that, SONGWRITERS I've ever heard. He's a genius. I don't care for a lot of his songs. Lyrical content wise, but I do have to give credit where credit is due. He's incredible. |
| Marcy Playground – Deadly Handsome Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Maybe it's about temptation or something like that. Mephistopheles is another name for Satan. And it fits in with the rest of the song too. Just occured to me while reading it, that it could be that. |

| Lil' Wayne – Lollipop Lyrics | 16 years ago |

pshhh... R&B. Gotta be acurate if ya want it to hurt. |
| Anthony Green – Baby Girl Lyrics | 16 years ago |
If ya like this, check out some Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer. Rachel and Vince helped produce it, so the sound is reminiscent of them. |
| The Secret Handshake – Summer of '98 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Songs don't have to be deep, or remarkably poetic. That's the point of music. The melody and beat help supply the feeling words just can't describe. (I want to throw in a Liszt quote right here, but I'll refrain) I love the lyrics. They are delightfully simple, and just say what's on the guys heart. Elegance (sp?) through simplicity. |

| Akon – Right Now (Na Na Na) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I kept thinking that it was make love right now na na for the longest time. So did a lot of people I know. ;P I like it better like this.I don't get the whole we showed our eyes that night. Perhaps it's "lies"? |

| Circa Survive – Meet Me in Montauk Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Augusta- Uh... He was in Zolof. Ever heard a song called Plays Pretty For Baby? Yeah, they wrote it when Anthony was in the band. What about the songs from the High and Driving EP? Vince from Zolof produced it. Zolof has a pretty big and devoted fan base. If he wasn't so screwed up on drugs, he may have stayed (that was a big reason he left Zolof). Saosin didn't make Anthony, if anything he was the only reason they were liked. |
| Nobuo Uematsu – One Winged Angel Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I haven't yet played FFVII, but I have played Crisis Core, and I agree that the music on that is awesome. I prefer Yoko Shimomura's compositions over Uemastu's, but that's personal preference I guess. Speaking of Cloud and Sephiroth: I know that Sephiroth is supposed to be a hard boss (understatement I know), but in Crisis Core Cloud is such a pansy and a weakling, how the heck does he do what he does at the end of the game? |
| Saosin – Plays Pretty For Baby Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Just FYI for anyone who wonders. Anthony did NOT start Zolof as a side project. It was started by Vince and Rachel, and Anthony was a friend of theirs who was in it for a while. But the core members have always been Rachel and Vince. I see a lot of people who think it was just a side project of his, and as a huge Zolof fan I take offense at that. |
| Anthony Green – Plays Ugly For Daddy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I wish he used the name Rachel too. But because I love Zolof. I noticed in the credits that a lot of the stuff on the High and Driving EP that Vince helped produce. I thought it was pretty cool. |
| Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer – Plays Pretty for Baby Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I just noticed in the credits of Avalon that Vince Ratti helped produce the High and Driving EP, which might be the reason it sounds closer to Zolof than any of the other bands he was in. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – I Constantly Thank God For Esteban Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Heh. It made me think of how people consider "Praise and Worship" as music, due to people calling the singing of praises to Yahshua the only form of worship, and even then how some people will do it for a "good, warm feeling," and because they like the whole musical experience, instead of realizing that the music is not for us, and is just one form of expressing love and thanksgiving to Yahshua. But I would be surprised as that for the actual meaning. |

| Paul Simon – Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Every song is about masturbation if you skew it enough. Lol. I hear that as an explanation for pretty much any off-beat song. If Paul said it's about nothing, then there is no doubt that it is about... Masturbation! (that was a joke in case you couldn't tell) Kinda like Romeo and Juliet was an experiment rather than a serious play. But people skew it, and the comedic aspect of the play is lost much of the time. Anyway.... in all seriousness it's usually what the writers says it's about that is the right answer. You can argue the night away that he could just be avoiding a sensitive topic, but if he wrote the song, then he WASN'T avoiding it. That being said I totally thought racial when i first read it, but evidentally I was wrong. |

| Utada Hikaru – Passion Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I completely disagree. In the English, the lines don't rhyme as they did in the Japanese. That's about the only major difference in sound. Yes the meaning is different, so the translation isn't lost. If my memory serves me correctly Utada Hikaru was originally planning on a U.S. career, but someone suggested that because of her sound she would probably have more success in Japan. Think about that for a while. |

| Cartel – Wonderwall (Oasis Cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Ignore my previous comment. I was thinking of a completely different version. My bad. Sorry. |
| Cartel – Wonderwall (Oasis Cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I disagree completely. This version is not very singable. Oasis made it in a much catchier way, with more feeling behind it. That being said, when I heard this version I was blown away. Not by the singer or the way it was sung (like i said, it lacked the emotion that oasis uses, and to me emotion is the most important part of how the song is sung) but the arrangemenet and interpretation. The music that goes along with the melody is unreal. It let me ignore the lack of emotion and singability in the voice. It was the music which made this cover great. I'm not trying to diss Cartel or anything so don't start screaming that I'm stupid and I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm completely objective on music. Sometimes covers ARE better than the original, and I'll admit it. But this one isn't. Sorry. It was great though. Don't get me wrong |

| Relient K – Curl Up & Die Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Maybe it's about there being some situation that's happening to him and his wife that is really confusing, stressful, and they don't understand it, and he's trying to tell her to just trust in God when things happen that are beyond their understanding, because God is always in control and has reasons for letting stuff happen. The "I don't mind part" may be about his already understanding of that aspect of how God works (possibly from prior experiences of his), and the "not surprised to find that you do" is how he understands how the she who is confused feels. "Curl up and die, too" may symbolize how his wife responded to the problem and his commitment to being one with his wife, through thick and thin. |
| Relient K – Combos And Skittles Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| But the other band members may like em! | |
| Garth Brooks – The Thunder Rolls Lyrics | 17 years ago |
uh, mr. no name, I agree with shorty on this one. I listen to pretty much all genres, but country songs tend not to be powerful. A big part of it is the style itself. And the usual singing style doesn't help. Acoustic music can be powerful especially folk, and neo-folk acoustic soul. The nature of pop has more potential for being powerful, and this isn't me hating on country. It's like trying to make a polka song that is hardcore, without blending it with another genre like rock. |

| A Perfect Circle – Pet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| If it was about anything other than the New World Order, then they would not have put "Swayin to the rhythm of the New World Order" | |
| A Perfect Circle – Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I don't see how you can say pet was about his son. "Slave to the rhythm of the New World Order" Key words: NEW WORLD ORDER. And it's not just the Bush Administration If you don't know about the New World Order look it up. It's not just America. It's pretty much every nation getting together and trying to bring back the feudal system. |

| Blink-182 – I Miss You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
First of all, seriously? Insulting bands just because it's not your taste? Don't say it isn't good music just because it's not the style you like. Most people who do that aren't in love with music itself but with the image associated with their favorite styles... And you indie fanatics (I admit i used to be one of em) are the worst of em. Just because the style is accepted by others, you hate it. You are the worst of them. I love music theory. And from that standpoint there is nothing wrong with this song at all. (Speaking of music theory, jazz fanatics would say all music sucks that doesn't push the boundaries in it's very essence. Even if you create a completely new genre of music if it follows the conventional make-up of music, jazz fanatics would say it sucks. I stand by my love of music theory, but I don't mind conventional music make-up as well. But that's not the point of the post) Second of all. I think the first verse is him just thinking to himself. 2nd verse thought has developed into lamentation. And the rest where he says "Don't waste your time on me, you're already the voice inside my head" is his actual words to her, but while he says it he thinks "I miss you" That's probably obvious but the general message is all that really matters to me. |

| They Might Be Giants – I Should Be Allowed To Think Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I still see this as a monument to college indie-ism. | |
| Loreena McKennitt – Greensleeves Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| During the time this was written, green was associated with love, NOT prostitution. | |
| The Goo Goo Dolls – Give a Little Bit (Supertramp cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
wheaties409, ever heard of a song called "Red, Red, Wine"? Most people love UB40s cover, and very few think Neil Diamond's version is even remotely as good. But the acoustic suits the chords extraordinarily well in this song. |

| Relient K – Must Have Done Something Right Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Oh and lillisa, the Bible says nothing about cussing other than the risk of causing others to stumble, but profanity in our sense didn't exist back then. | |
| Relient K – Must Have Done Something Right Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree with Artwithinthyself on that line. I believe the greatness of relient k shows in how most of their songs have dual meanings. Showing how stuff in this life symbolizes things in the Eternal. Kind of like how the christian body is considered the bride of Christ. So the song may well be about both. |
| Relient K – Five Iron Frenzy Is Either Dead or Dying Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Fivescore was one of their more blatant Christain albums. The others I had to dig deep to see the allegory in most cases, but Fivescore was awesome. Listening to the style of the lyrics, it makes me think I can write songs too (not saying it's because they are simple, just an interesting approach) But yeah. Relient K still loves God... Although who said they didn't I'd like to meet. But Clarityofsuchgrace nailed it on the lyrics meaning. |

| The Sound of Animals Fighting – There Can Be No Dispute That Monsters Live Among Us Lyrics | 18 years ago |

solid bob and pmiller14691 got it! I still think it catchy though. You people who hate this, go listen to stockhausen... THERE is some crazy stuff. |
| Harvey Danger – Flagpole Sitta Lyrics | 18 years ago |
My dad and I like to joke around saying that this song is about us... minus the amputee part... Indeed it does seem to be the story of my dad's life... and like father like son... mine..... (yes I beleive this song has meaning, I always thought it obvious) cynicalsaint got it dead in. And in regards to masturbation... not every song is written about masturbation... immature perverts. |
| Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer – Plays Pretty for Baby Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Zolof has been my favorite band since they first got together. Anthony wasn't even part of it when the band was formed. Just on the first album. This isn't one of his "side-projects". He had no part in the creation of it. Same with Saosin. He didn't create it. He named it, but a couple of blokes wrote the the first few songs and needed a singer, and Anthony stepped up. Circa Survive was created by Anthony and one of his old friends. |

| The Sound of Animals Fighting – There Can Be No Dispute That Monsters Live Among Us Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Uh... I found it as catchy... I find myself singing it all the time..... I'm able to get into it more than alot of there songs.... And not lyrically, but the actual music... (yea... they probably used Stockhausen's words to expose his words to people who have never heard him, in addition to make a point) |
| The Sound of Animals Fighting – Horses In The Sky Lyrics | 18 years ago |
AGfan is completely right. TSOAF is a collaborative effort to destroy the boundaries of how music is perceived. It's a music band. Created for music. For the benifit of its future... |
