| I think the line says "Baby's sleeping against graveyard flower pots" not "Baby sleeps I can scrape your flower pots". But perhaps its just me who noticed that. | |

To me, this song is saying a whole lot of things. Not that she's breaking up with someone (Because I swear the line "If you know what's good for me/Why would I be leaving you?" is actually saying "loving" not "leaving"), but that she never liked this persong to begin with. OR did she? This whole thing reminds me of a story I read with a girl who shared an apartment with this guy she absolutely hated. The thing is, the guy found out he wanted her sexually. So he attempts to make moves and such, quite forcefully at times, and it confuses the girl so badly because she's never done things ever. So the overwhelming urges she's feeling is messing with her head. But the thing is, he doesn't even like her. He just lusts after her and it's confusing him too. So they're both fighting all the time and not letting the other finish sentences (GASP) but he keeps making advances. Finally, she basically says "Come near me again and I'll kill you" so he gets all weirded out. (She didn't mean it though, she's too good for that). "Go on have it/ you're just dying to try me" was the line that really got me, though. Because during one of his too-forward movements, she would have let him do basically what he wanted, but he couldn't. XP It was a confusing and absolutely wonderful story and mirrors this song so completely its almost terrifying. And for those who care, this is the story: http://colouredgrey.contraveritas.com/viewstory.php?sid=1164&i=1 |
