the beginning bit, "Get some pain and I feel alive" seems to me to be about how the self abuse richey dealt with was the thing that kept him real. that statement has always rung true for me so just what i think. and i guess the rest is about consumerism and how it is destroying our culture, or in fact has BECOME our culture. |
