I think this one's about a man who just got broken-hearted and didnt even knew this was close to happen: "I was nowhere near ready when all it ended".. When she dumped him, he was arrogant and blamed it all on her as the song says, but he then realizes he did wrong and tries to fix it. He's still in love with her and tries to get her back, but he thinks its too late. Her love means everything to him and wants it back, now that he lost her... Mexicano. |

I think Tony is just looking for another chance to become a man again since he's trapped in the form of a Raven.. In the video, when he's running through the woods hes running from something he did and feels ashamed of, the wolf could simbolize that. i think thats why he wrote: "I am now like Judas, done" he betrayed someone and he's ashamed of it. Hes trapped for something he did and regrets it with all his heart but its too late now. @RedFox, not sure about "killing the king", but i think it simbolizes Betrayal, thats what hes running from... about "entrails of life on my plate and I ate 'em" maybe is the 'leftovers' of his life and he ate em because he was ashamed if someone would see what he did with his life.. about the: "I had a night where the wolf eating the raven.." I think it represents betrayal again, the wolf is his master and hes the servant (raven), hes too afraid of what his master can do to him, in this case the werewolf lady. Anyways, thats just how I see it, maybe you agree, maybe you dont, but it wont make me change my opinion. |

I think this one is about a person who loves someone else, and feels betrayed because she dumped him and stopped talking to him because of something he didnt do. "Now it's invaded by a stranger" meaning that his ex, is with someone new who was never met with this guy. "Now I am here, and I want it all back" planning revenge on his "land" and the betrayer... thats my thoughts and how i see it. |

Dana is a fictional character made up by Tony, he also mentions her in Shy..."You can't be acting like my Dana". My opinion is that Dana was the love of the writer, but ran away from home and from him... still he writes her but she doesnt seem to return any of the letters, so it makes the writer think it bothers her. The writer is a well-known of Dana's family but I dont think hes her brother, as Kustard says. The writer says he doesnt wait for her anymore but in his heart she's still there, and need her in his time of suffering, thats why hes beign sarcastic as "it was a beautiful day.." Or maybe, Dana wrote to him whenever he did, and he says, "Dana, oh, Dana I'm writing to you, I heard you passed away it was a beautiful day", meaning that she stopped writing to him and its a beautiful day because now he can get over her. anyways tony's playin with my mind... each of us could make a meaning of this song and still we are all right, maybe thats what tony wanted when he wrote it.. btw, "thee" is you in old-english. |

hi guys, im new here, been reading posts for a while, but lets get to the point shall we? I fully agree with RedFox, ive been listening tony's masterpieces for years now, and this song is about a caged wolf, he just needs freedom... "A lifetime ago, with frozen eyes they closed the door" its been a lifetime for him since he was captured but still remembers what freedom used to be "Freedom has a meaning for me, howl with me" the character in this song wants what it was stolen from him.. the first thing i thought about while listening to this song was werewolves as someone think this is about, as sonata has made a pair of songs about them, but this one is about a simple wolf beign caged.. "No trusting them anymore," refers to humans, he used to see them and just keeping peace with them as they respected each other but when he got captured they broke that respect... anyways, thats my thoughts.. as my nick says im a real fan of sonata and wont stop listening to their art. |
