When I first heard this song I thought it was about jealousy and two guys loving the same girl and he feels like he's so stupid and that the other guys is winning the girls love; probebly just because of this bit The wilted flowers that I gave Were not as nice as your bouqet( the other guy gave the girl) All the lyrics that I wrote Not as smart as the words you( the other guy) spoke But now I think it's about being in love, and feeling that he feels like his girlfriend is way too good for him. |

Really sad song; makes my cry everytime I hear it. tho it' about cancer it reminds me of my grandfather who died last year ( not because of cancer) and he knew he was gonna die ( like, only 2 weeks before he died ) and well, he accepted it, but he said something like the ''cause the hardest part of this is leaving you' part; so that's why it makes me cry So yeah, in my eyes it's not only a song about cancer, but just knowing you are going to die, and accept it, but still it's hard to leave your friends and family. And I just hope you know that if you say goodbye today I'd ask you to be true yeah, again, everyone who's had a family member or friend who was about to die could relate to that; just the fact that you don't know if you'll ever see that person alive again yeah, I know it may have nothing to do with the meaning of the lyrics, but that's just what it means to me. |
