Toby Keith – Courtesy of the red, white, and blue (angry american) Lyrics 18 years ago
I totally agree with freefallin because you guys are the typical american listen to any-fucking-thing the media tells you. you need to OPEN your eyes. those comments were posted in 2002 and it's 2007 now and "bombing the shit out of those sand-niggers" hasn't gotten us jack shit. Sure we took out saddam and his people, but it's more fucked up now with Iran and Syra building nukes and Bush getting all horny to attack them before they kill us. Let's think about this for a second, sure, they may have people who are willing to give their lives for Allah, but the reason their leaders are their leaders is because those people don't want to die, and Iran and Syria both know that if they do jack shit to Israel, then we'll turn their fucking countries into radioactive glass. those guys don't want to die, there's a reason that they're the leaders not the followers who are willing to give their life. Let's, for once in the fucking history of the Bush Admisitration, try diplomacy.

Creedence Clearwater Revival – Fortunate Son Lyrics 18 years ago
Obviously this song is about Vietnam, but it has a deeper meaning. The writer is trying to portray a large differentation in the classes in America, where "everyone is created equal"

Five for Fighting – The Riddle Lyrics 18 years ago
obviously this song is about the amazingly strong bond that we all share with our fathers, whether we know it or not. Especially if you're a man, your dad is probably one of the most important people in life, he teaches you how to be a man and his job in life is to make sure you are more succesful in life than him. Because it is a direct portrayal of the job that he did rasing you as a child. Reminds me a lot of Glenn Frey's Part of Me, Part of You

Five for Fighting – Freedom Never Cries Lyrics 18 years ago
I think that the artist is trying to portray the concept that freedom is freedom, and you can fight to defend it as much as you want, but it's still a word. I think that he's trying to say that we take so many things for granted as a whole soceity, and if we don't stop, well... those things just might start to slowly fade away.
