| I love this song, and unlike many other people, i find it the opposite to sad! It's not exactly a happy song it's hard to explain the mood to it, it's really unexplainnable that's why its so perfect, It has a lot of emotion in it but at the same time it's kind of numb...and i always thought the women was sayin "he was a dog" haha x | |

I think that "Destroy everything you touch today Destroy me this way Anything that may desert you So it cannot hurt you" she is talking about someone she's with who is hurting her but only because they are afrad of loosing her and "destroy me this way" is means he is destroying her by hurting her. Everything you touch you don�t feel (Insensitive to other people's feelings and cold/unemotional) Do not know what you steal (she can't express how much he's stole her heart and trampled alloer it and also her pride/confidence) Shakes your hand Takes your gun Walks you out of the sun These last 3 lines to me are about meeting someone who is dangerous and how they can hurt you .....stage 1....shakes your hand...so they seem fairly normal and they come across as any other normal person to lure you in. Stage 2....takes you're gun...to me this means they take anything that you use to defend yourself so he is trying to shatter her strengh and confidence (gun) he has took those stong qualities away from her and she depends on him "walks you out of the sun"....pretty obvious |

Yeah it's about edie sedgewick and andy worhol....my favourite line is "You never turned around to see the frowns on the jugglers and the clowns When they all come down and did tricks for you" It's saying how she used to do all this stuff to get approval from the warhol crowd to impress them and she would think they liked her for it but really as soon as she turned her back they would laugh at her...tragic. |
