good song i agree it shows that yes America has so much freedom and its just run by extremely greedy people. sometimes when i look at America today i say fuck the USA! with the way things are run in this country all for money. the song is just saying that America is portrayed as such an amazing place yet it is full of the same money hungry people that can be found everywhere. and what makes it worse are the stupid Americans that think this country is the best and if you don't agree with everything you are not patriotic. this whole country was founded by punks!! those who are too patriotic become just mindless followers and if thats what we were like in 1776 well then we would still be under British rule. it takes a true punk to overthrow a government. well i guess the main thing is think for yourself and fuck the USA its not as great as the mindless over patriotic people make it out to be! |

PLEASE please dont even try and say MCR is punk..hey have nothing to do with anything that is real punk. punk is not music punk is not spiking your hair punk is not shopping at hot topic and feeding into the corporations that run this whole country. punk is a lifestyle and is a mindset. punk is THINKING FOR YOURSELF! you dont like something then DO SOMETHING. if you dont like the way our government is DO SOMETHING. punk is all about being active and being yourself. people shop at hot topic so you can be different when you are acting and looking like millions of other 13 year old kids and just becoming another clone for the corporations to make money off of. ENTER MTV sorry but MCR and the whole MTV movement can fuck off! again just another way to make money. MCR has nothing to do with the punk movement and are in no way related. i suggest listening or reading the lyrics to the dead kennedys songs, chickenshit conformists and MTV get off the air..those sum up my ideas. its bands like MCR that are slowly killing punk and turning it into a mindless fad. "PUNKS NOT DEAD IT JUST DESERVES TO DIE!" now all i am saying is these bands like MCR and Fob have taken what the punk movement was really about. punk is not about being wierd or different or nobody at school understands me or my boyfriend broke up with me PUNK is about doing something. punks need to stop listening to this MTV shit and get up and support local bands and change the world. punk has changed my view on alot of things its made me realize instead of just sitting around i can do something and be myself and fight for what i believe in...also fuck george bush...anyway this is a long rant you can stop reading at any time BUT for all you MCR fans i am not telling you to stop listening to them or whatever all i am saying is dont call yourself a punk if you listen to them because they have nothin to do with punk! and remember as DOA once said "Talk-Action=Zero"
oh and the song...i like it. its my favorite misfits song...not a big misfits fan though. |

best part is right after the quarterback is injured..its who cares lets go get wasted now. thats exactly how it is. two students in my grade were killed when they were drinking and driving and hit a tree...sure everyone was sad and devastated but once summer came around all the kids best friends were just back doing the same thing drinking ect. like they never even existed...its sad. |

the song is about what makes a serial killer or someone who kills children and how society affects these type of people and can even make a person kill a child. pretty much the whole song is said in this one line:
"Anyone can be king for a day..." as that is the type of attitude some feel when they commit these horrible acts. media almost makes serial killers famous and sadly some seek attention so much and want to be known so badly that they kill people...even children. |
