This woman actually lives in Colorado, and she has this monument that holds a grain of salt to represent each person in the world. Everyday she adds one grain of salt for each person who is born into the world, and removes a grain for each person whos "souls have passed on". The message conveyed in her monument is that every single person alive today deserves recognition as a unique individual and as a defining part of the human family.
