This is my fave augie song. Hard song to figure out, but my only thoughts are, is this about seeing a lover taken by another man? "it stings your eyes, what you saw when she stood in the yard and she let him undress her" then it goes on later with the melancholy feeling of it all - the dead leaves lining the street gutter, sunset coming. As for the little lights burning inside that tell you what you have to do - im not sure, maybe not suppress your anger and move on? Please comment! |
