Akon – Right Now (Na Na Na) Lyrics 16 years ago
PS, "apple of my eye" is a common idiom. It means "you're my favorite thing," in simpler terms. Does that mean Akon is ripping off the Replacements?

I think this song is about heroin withdrawal. At the beginning of the song, Akon feels like it's been forever since he "saw his girl," and feels like he can't last without it ("the strength I have is washing away"). He misses how it makes him feel ("want you to fly with me") and ultimately expresses his desire to return to his old ways, i.e. link up, because he is, ah, he's in heroin withdrawal. It's a metaphor.

I think this song is about how much of a dick I am. "Stop acting like some modern Don Juan, / drawing lines out of rock and roll songs." Dude, fuck me.

The best part's the little half solo followed by "fuck it" and comping

It's definitely "A hundred dollars makes the talking sad," as in paying a prostitute makes for depressing conversation. At least that's how I always hear/interpret the line.

I guess I meant to say "all they have left," for what it's worth (not much)

haha I bet capgun is a girl and downstreamer's a guy.

Actually, don't tell me if I'm wrong, I don't care. But this band is okay... I'm listening to them more than I expected so I guess I like them more than I think. For the record they sound more like My Bloody Valentine than Smashing Pumpkins or Placebo. I definitely see the Smashing Pumpkins there though. I bet capgun is the most correct so far... it seems to be a song about a couple (presumably little lovers? i.e. teenagers or something along those lines) who are too polite to say what they mean. I guess the parts about bones colliding are a reference to sex? "Tell me, did the bones collide?" It's like gossip, see? But the idea is that they're missing the point, they've removed the emotion from a relationship for fear of losing each other and all they have are colliding sacks of bones.

I could easily be wrong.
