| Taylor Swift – The Way I Loved You Lyrics | 17 years ago |

i think this song is about two different people. she's talking about how comfortable she is with her current relationship, and despite the fact that he does everything perfectly, she's bored and she misses how their relationship was when they first were together. "He can't see the smile I'm faking And my heart's not breaking Cause I'm not feeling anything at all And you were wild and crazy Just so frustrating intoxicating Complicated, got away by some mistake" this part makes me think she's talking about her boyfriend for the first three lines, but then not necessarily an ex-boyfriend for the last three lines. i think she could be talking about another guy who is "frustrating, intoxicating, complicated" but she can't help having feelings for him; she hasn't actually had a relationship with him though. he waited for her while she tried to figure things out with her boyfriend but she took too long, he got sick of waiting and "got away." because it then says "by some mistake" it makes me think that she's regretting not breaking up with her boyfriend for this other guy. that's what i think at least...maybe just because that's what's happening to me right now. |

| I can relate to this song so well. It describes the relationship between my ex-boyfriend and I so perfectly. Before we were together, we were the best of friends, and when we broke up it took me a long time to get over losing him in both aspects. As a friend and as a boyfriend, our relationship ended so abruptly. We talk every now and again and I know that he still cares for me and will always be there for me no matter what. Great song. | |

This song originally reminded me of The Notebook..or parts of it. Where he says "but you've already lost when you only have barely enough to hang on" I thought of the class difference between Noah and Allie and how no one thought that their relationship could work (toward the beginning of the movie.) After I've read what you guys have said, it reminds me of A Walk to Remember as well, and that maybe it could be about a girl dying. The same line "but you've already lost when you only had barely enough to hang on" works well there too. That Landon fell in love with Jamie when she soon was going to die. Either way, it's a beautiful song. |

i love this song...the lyrics are great. It reminds me of a situation that one of my best friends went through. She has a boyfriend and there was this other guy who had started to like her, and she started to have feelings for him as well. Although her boyfriend knew this, he stuck around. My friend then finally realized that her boyfriend was the right guy for her. Like the line "could you find a better one" and she realized that she couldn't. Love the line "you never know what's wrong without the pain." it's very true :) |

| I love this song. It reminds me of my ex and I who broke up almost a year ago..we still talk and might actually be getting back together. While we were apart, every time I would listen to this song I would start to cry. This is exactly how I feel about him, and I know he cares a lot for me as well. Such an amazing song :) | |

| I agree that this song is about God, but I also see it as a man singing about how much he loves his girlfriend or wife or whoever. Such an amazing song :) | |
