The song describes how compromising is the key to a successful relationship as being "righteous and too proud" and "never giving in" makes the other person in the relationship constantly being pushed down by a strong character and sooner or later this person will get bored and not want to be with someone who doesn't know how to balance out the power. The speaker realises that if she just put a little more into what they had and prehaps let her beau have his way a bit more then the relationship wouldn't have ended. This song is right in the context that you never realise how much you need something until it's gone and then you consequently become lost and try desperately to "work things out". Just like the Yingyang theory, a man and a woman need each other to complete one another and like the chorus of this song, in the end you are much stronger when you are complete as oppossed to when you are alone. All anyone ever wants in life is a second chance especially after realising your own faults in a relationship and willing to rectify them. |

This song is about sharing a fanatical experience with someone you love... wishing for a never-ending day in another world "somewhere far away from home" which shows the speaker wishing to melt away into her dream land. The phrase "we can begin again" implies that something (a relationship prehaps) has occurred between speaker and her love before and knowing that they have no chance of being together in a realistic world again, wills to go away with him and renew what they had. the song brings different meanings to everyone who listens to it and is personal to each individual including myself. Willing and wishing for a second and better chance is a thing many of us would kill for at times and this song says it all. |
