I've always liked this song, but it's recently taken on a new level of importance for me. I've been dealing with a lot of emotional baggage from a failed relationship, and a close friend of mine has been going through similar issues. She listens to me complain and vent about whatever is on my mind, and in return she has my ear whenever she needs someone to talk to. Hearing the song again after all this has happened, I see that it describes us pretty accurately. For the longest time, I though I was alone and dealing with all of these issues on my own. But after thinking about it, I realize she's been there helping me through this the entire time. Not once has she become annoyed with my sometimes excessive venting. Nor has she ever dismissed my concerns in any way. Although we both seem to have too many emotional scars for anything more to come from our relationship, I am eternally thankful for having her by my side and being able to call her my friend. I love you, S. Your friendship means more to me than you may ever know! =) |

Just got back from seeing these guys @ Mayhem, and this was definitely one of the best parts of their set. The song is great to begin with, but was INCREDIBLE to see it live. And for the obligatory meaning taken from it: If you strip away all the Megaman references, it seems to basically be about standing up for what you believe in, because if you don't, you're no better than the mindless hordes of society who simply accept whatever they're given. Everyone has to have something they believe in so strongly that they're willing to make otherwise unthinkable sacrifices. |

| Yeah, their older stuff was more what I would call "Halloween Rock", but still VERY good. Check out "Face The Grey" and "Legacy", though. They've changed quite a bit, and their lyrics have matured along w/ their sound. | |

I really like that take on it, but I also think it could go with less complicated situations just as easily. For me, it seems to be about loving someone so much that you ignore the unimportant BS that comes with any relationship. Sure, there will be tough times and arguments, but knowing when to just be there for your partner instead of acting on impulse (be it words or actions) speaks louder than anything else. To shorten it all up a bit, it seems like saying no matter what happens, you will do whatever it takes to make your significant other know you're in it for the long haul, no matter what happens. Either way you want to look at it, this is an incredible song. |

This makes me think about a certain someone every time I listen to it, since it seems to describe my situation pretty accurately. I constantly feel as if I'm pushing into the wind as far as my relationship with her (or lack thereof) goes, but something in the back of my mind pushes me to keep trying. Along the way, I wonder how many times I'm supposed to face some sort of setback, how many times I'm supposed to sit back and be patient. Every single time, I wonder when it will all end. But every time I feel like that, I'm left with the feeling that it was meant to be, but now is just not the time. I can always feel a part of her in me that won't let me give up. The last bit ties it all in perfectly. While I can't do anything about it right now, my close friendship with her has also taught me how to love. To be honest, I never knew what it was to love another person until I realized how I truly felt about her. Because of the strong bond we already share, however, I feel as if I can acomplish anything, and I have no fear about what tomorrow will bring. |

This is easily one of the most beautiful song\'s I\'ve ever heard. Lyrically, every time I listen to it, certain parts remind me of the woman I love. If I fall, it will be for her, and if she were to ever hurt me in any way (which, thankfully I know she never would), I would never be able to recover. They say the cuts that run deepest are caused by those we love, that part of the song sums it up perfectly for me. \"Lead me home or leave me be...\" So many things could be said about this. Again, for me, it\'s the constant feeling that I\'m building toward something with her, yet I\'m not quite to the point I need to be yet. I keep wishing that God/fate/whatever you believe in would lead me to the goal of this journey or let me off of the path. Other than the lyrics, however, this song is an absolute joy to listen to. Good music can stir emotions without any words whatsoever, and this does it easily. I can put on a pair of decent headphones, turn this track on, and lose myself in all the different layers of sound and instrumentation present. Every time I listen, I hear something I didn\'t notice before. |
