The "new" dashboard doesn't suck...it's just matured, and so has Chris. Please...you don't expect him to keep on singing about high school heartache do you? Musical maturity is something that the spills are on their way to achieving. Nick is becoming a better songwriter with each new record and I really appreciate that. This album shows it.. Whereas Chris...well...that dude was born a songwriter. Hand down. |

!!!!!! This song is based of Steinbeck's EAST OF EDEN, from a CONCEPT that Meg realized after reading that book. A monster is born from a loveless childhood. A lot of the more minute ideals in the lyrics are shared between Meg AND Dia so I can see where you guys get these crazy theories. I actually figured out from some interviews and articles I read that the line: "We don't need your headlines" is from that fucking ridiculous Kerrang article that came out a while back. After that came out I read some interviews where Hayley said something to the effect of, "We don't need a cover>" or somethign to that effect. |
