I strongly believe this song isn't about a love between a man and a woman, I believe it's about the love between father and son/daughter. Does the lead singer have a child? Even if he doesn't, the song still makes sense. When I see your smile Tears run down my face I can’t replace And now that I’m stronger I’ve figured out How this world turns cold and breaks through my soul And I know I’ll find deep inside me I can be the one --He knows the world out there is cold and harsh, but he has the will power to become a true father.--- I will never let you fall I’ll stand up with you forever I’ll be there for you through it all Even if saving you sends me to heaven --He will always be there to help his son/daughter, through thick and thin. If he has to choose between him and his son/daughter dying, he would save his son and die for him/her. It’s ok. It’s ok. It’s ok. Seasons are changing And waves are crashing And stars are falling all for us Days grow longer and nights grow shorter I can show you I’ll be the one --Now it's he's calming us, "it's ok, it's ok, it's ok", followed by him letting us know there is still so much time left in the world to spend together and it seems like the universe is revolving around them because he's being so uplifted. --The line, "Days grow longer and nights grow shorter I can show you I’ll be the one" is about sacrificing the long nights, for longer days with the son/daughter. That's what being a parent is really about, the sacrifices. And he will prove to his son/daughter he will be the one. and so forth.... |

This line is slightly incorrect..."It was 9/27, 82 baby do charity, hospital, AKA the city who has no pity to no one nobody"...the correct version of this is...."It was 9/27, 82 baby do charity, hospital, AKA the city *ZOO,* no pity to no one nobody, not all man, they drop us in the game and everybody's tryin to ball." This is what makes me appreciate rap. |
