I love this this song. I like how it starts out with the acoustic low slow chord progression over the bass with the wierd rythem of the slide notes over it. it really sets the whole mood of the song. I really like that "i'll be lonesome when i'm gone" line i agree with LoPro on the meaning of that one.. I can relate to the "Trying hard not to think" line from the last time i was working at my last soul sucking job. |

I love his song so much and i agree that it is way better the Casanova version. has a soothing calming innocence to it. its in the sound of his voice and the soothing beat of the guitar and bass. it really ties in together well. "The dirt stores much in my family" he is saying that there are things in his family to hide things that have been barred underground. "I blew off my laundry And my clothes hold on to the dirt, see" The same dirt that stores the dead and the barred he has stirred up on to his clothing perhaps proving that he himself is not void of these things they hide but he blows it off to preserve his baby clean conscience. OR is it that he must walk among the dirt that holds the dead and barred? "I walk around with my head off" to walk around with ones head off would imply that he is not thinking.. maybe is not fully aware of what is around him. |
