| Metallica – The Day That Never Comes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Correction to notation in last post - the official lyrics say "son shine", not "sunshine," and "the son will shine," not "the sun will shine" in the last part. I am quite sure there is a specific reason for this choice of spelling. There are clearly several ways to interpret the song, and one is related to Christianity and the second coming. I am sure that is the purpose of "son" as opposed to "sun." | |

se7en43 is right - the other page for this song has the correct lyrics. It isn't "Love is a four letter word/and never spoken in care" - it is "Love is a four letter word/and never spoken here." See Metallica's website. Here are the lyrics from Metallica's website: Born to push you around Better just stay down. You pull away He hits the flesh You hit the ground. Mouth so full of lies Tend to black your eyes. Just keep them closed Keep praying Just keep waiting Waiting for the one The day that never comes When you stand up and feel the warmth But the son shine never comes. No, the son shine never comes. Push you cross that line, Just stay down this time. Hide in yourself Crawl in yourself You’ll have your time. God I’ll make them pay Take it back one day. I’ll end this day. I’ll splatter color on this gray. Waiting for the one The day that never comes When you stand up and feel the warmth But the son shine never comes. Love… is a four letter word, And never spoken here. Love… is a four letter word, Here in this prison. I suffer this no longer, I’ll put an end to this, I swear. This, I swear. The son will shine. This, I swear, This, I swear, This, I swear! Great song, great (and timely) video. |

| Eric Clapton – Old Love Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I LOVE this song - but especially the acoustic version that Eric does on his "Unplugged" album. Whenever it plays, I have to keep repeating it about 5 or 6 times before I let the CD go to the next song. I do the same when it comes on my iPod. The song is really sad, though, and reminds me now of my ex, who I love still, but he had his own "old love," and I guess he is now back with her. Hurts, but the song is still just amazing. If you don't have Eric Clapton's "Unplugged" CD or the whole thing through iTunes (I assume iTunes has it), get it!! | |
| Papa Roach – Forever Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is clearly about a guy who was in a relationship with a girl who had a lot of problems. He loves her deeply, tried to help her, but realizes that she's so messed up that he can't help her. He tries to forget her with other women, drugs, but that doesn't work. Then he finally realizes that even though he will love her forever, he can't help her, so he gives her one last kiss and lets her go - forever. | |
