This song is breathtaking i can listen to it over and over. Really look at the lyrics, .... So bascially it all comes down to now this one moment, and you really should have planned what you were going to do but you haven't and you just know that your the one person in the world who wants this person and their perfect for you, but just haven't realized it. ...... And the boy wants to know her but has been hurt in the past and watched people go down the drain after using drugs and doesn't want to see that happen to someone again so he wants this girl but he can't because he doesn't want to be hurt that bad, and watch another loved one fall apart. But that girl is convinced that this boy can save her she'll give up everything for this boy completely sober up and change and all she needs is her wonderwall to save her but he just can't let himself be hurt, he won't take the chance. This boys feeling lost and confused but so is the girl, everything leads somewhere else,... all the roads are winding// all the lights are blinding. This is real love nothings cookie cutter its all chances with this relationship and the girl just wants to be saved and is in love with this boy who's too scared to save her. l..... This song is about a girl who is just remebering how much her "father" was there for her, throughout it all.. the good times and the bad, the first time her heart broke, when she was happy, when she was weak, she talks about how she was asking for him to be there for her and he responds with " i am" He was there to watch her fall in love and marry. How she can always go home no matter what, and things will change in life but her father will still be there No matter what. And even in her darkest hour she will at the least be able to call for his help and his name. I find this song so touching and emotional and just brilliant, its definately an amazing song that has great meaning, it doesn't even have to be religioius i'm sure alot of people can relate to their father this way. |

when i first listened i thought, oh its about a lover, but i listened a little more and to me its about a relationship.. not necessarily a lover, maybe a family member like a brother or father and shes talking about how shes trying to brace herself for the emotional damage thats being caused by the other person with out them really noticing it and how they make her feel so small in this world like she doesn't even matter, then shes talking about how she needs to find herself because sheslost herself in the midst of all this damage, "at the turn of the tide i feel this part of me die " then she says "Overboard I’m thrown out to see what you are and what I mean to me But I will always have my dream where you can swim to me" saying she will always dream that she can go back to the beginning when everything was great, and myabe find herself and that person who you used to be. thats just what it means to me. |
