| Neutral Milk Hotel – Song Against Sex Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To put it bluntly from my point of view, it's about being against using substances or sex of any kind just for pleasure, without any love or real feeling. | |
| The Microphones – I Felt Your Shape Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song makes me tear up in the most beautiful way. It says so much in such a small amount of time, you just want it to keep going forever. It starts with a guy remembering laying in bed with a girl he loved, feeling her shape and holding her tight and falling to sleep. But in hindsight, he realizes that he was in deeper than she was. He looks back on a fond memory, even though it is tainted by the fact that she is gone. He remembers how much he thought he knew about her, and how they went through so much apparently for nothing. She made him feel so good, and that loss made him the loss that much stronger, that much deeper. The 'last' stanza is him in the present, realizing how alone he is now, and how he really always was. The extra verse shows that he misses having her there, but is hellbent on getting over her and moving on. | |
| Neutral Milk Hotel – Two-Headed Boy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It seems almost Edward Scissorhands-esque. I'm not saying that's what it's about, but because the outcast boy is shunned from soceity but falls in love with a girl from the 'real world' and tries to impress her but ends up get completely rejected and kills himself on a snowy day. | |
| Ben Folds – Carrying Cathy Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is so beautiful. I think it's about a really priveleged girl who had everything except her sanity. It's told from the viewpoint of either her boyfriend or a boy who is in love with her but can't really get her to open up to him. She probably wanted to die, but I don't she committed suicide. He refers to that scene as a dream, and I don't think it's an actual event, just wondering what happened to her after she ran away, as shown in this stanza: Then one night she climbed into the picture frame Out in the frozen air And out of sight |

| Neutral Milk Hotel – Bucket Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| You can tell by the grainy quality of the song that it is quite pre-aeroplane. And this song seems to come from a schizophrenic or just someone who is very depressed. He seems very confused and relunctant to go on with life. | |
