The whole album is the concept of this person.. William Control. wiL spent a lot of time in the dark areas of London, in fetish clubs etc, whilst working on this album, trying to understand William Control. i think the album is supposed to show how wiL looks at the world, and show everything that he believes is fucked up about it. the individual songs aren't really hard to work out wot they mean. this is two people who don't know each other, taking part in some sadistic violent sexual activity. |

| i fuckin love aiden! they're my favourite band, ive never liked a band sooo much in my life! every song is just amazing and they're all different. i was worried wen wil sed he was tryin to lose the dark/emo image that the band has and i thought it mite turn into the kinda music i dont like, but they haven't ruined it, even tho its different it still FUCKIN ROCKS!!!!!! like this song tho ;) love how it starts with a scream :D | |

To me its about a guy hu is bing bullied at skool for what they look like. "his backpac is all that he knows" could be referring to the fact that he has no friends, all he has is his backpack. "shot down by strangers hu's glances can cripple the heart and devour the soul" suggest ppl look at him and judge them by wot they see, and this has an very bad effect on him. "all alone he turns to stone whilst holding his breath half to death" maybe he's been trapped in a dead end by his bullies and as "he turns" he faces the wall (the stone) he's holding his breath because he doesnt no what will happen next. "he crawls like a worm from a bird" he knows he cant escape, a bid is always going to be faster than the worm ad although he can try and escape what is happening, ultimately the ppl hu are taunting him will get him in the end. The second verse, makes me think of him walkin down a corridor with ppl whispering about him. "He must have been out of his mind" Makes me think he's done sumthing the other ppl cant undrstand and so think there is sumthing wrong with him, maybe he's had enough of the bullying and has become so depressedhe is led to self harm. at the end i think he is committing suicide, to get away from it. "al he knows, if he cant relieve itl, it grows" unless he does sumtihng about the bullyin it will get worse, the next line "and so it goes" it has stopped, he's done sumthing about it, he's killed himself. After this he chorus takes a new meaning. "All alone he turns to stone" He's alone, probably at his house and his parents are out, and he is killing himself, he turns to stone is similar to being stone cold, death. Whilst holding his breath half to death, he's scared of wot he is about to do,he hesitates for a moment, holding his breath before taking his life. "terrified to save his life" okay he's taking his life but perhaps he see's his life as being so pointless that he's saving it by taking it. " he crawls life a worm from a bird" he's getting away from his bullies. what does everyone else think to this? |
