This song leads me to believe it is about Manson's break up with Evan. I could be wrong, but parts of the song make me think so... For example - "Together as one against all others" - had a significant meaning to the both of them, and in their relationship and "i let you say goodbye with lips of dynamite, And everyone turns their backs because they knew, when we held on tight to each other, that we were something fatal, that fell into the wrong hands." makes it seem like she's walking away. That's just my personal opinion. |

| On a personal level I can definitely relate to this song. My boyfriend is always touring and at times it feels difficult, but you know that when you wait through the good and the bad it'll only make you both stronger, individually and as a couple. In this case I think this girl is definitely feeling the sad side of it and feels she can't wait any longer, and questions if it's really worth it and if they should just be friends instead, but he wants more and wants her to stick through it. Touring is definitely not an easy thing, but it definitely teaches you alot about yourself and the people in your life. | |

Some thoughts: "And we're just heroes. For the day." - He's someone's hero for the night, but just for that day. Not permanently. "They all won't love me, she won't let me forget." - This guy is used to being praised and put on a pedestal because of his music and his stance in the music world, but she has to remind him that not everyone will always love him and he cannot please everyone. "Don't make me choose, I'll choose you and this will all be over." - He's asking her to not make him choose between her and the music. If he has to make a choice he will choose her and his music career and his dreams will be over. I think overall this song is just about this guy and how he has to separate his personal life with his career. He wants the best of both worlds and wants to please her at the same time but doesnt want his dreams to fade away. |

This song to me is about a proposal. In a way he's saying that he remembers everything from when they where kids until what it had progressed into and "I want to be your last first kiss" is him saying that he wants to be with her forever. "I want to break every clock" is him saying he never wants these perfect moments to go away, that he wants to live in this always. that's just my interpretation. |
