Kate Miller-Heidke – Words Lyrics 18 years ago
It grows on you. I think it may be an aquired taste.
I did get the album, the rest of it rocks.

I love KMH to bits, but I cannot for the life of me stand this song. If her whole new album is like this, I'm not getting it. Stick to the old stuff, Kate!

Sandi Thom – Superman Lyrics 18 years ago
I love this song because it's so simple. It speaks of wanting a guy to love you, not wanting him to do everything for you and give you everything. It's brilliance is in its simplicity and vulnerability.

Yes yes, I do belive you are both right. I also think where it says, "She finds her love and then she lets it go" it should say, "She found *sweet* love and then she let it go"

Delta Goodrem – Will You Fall For Me Lyrics 18 years ago
I have a very emotional attachment to this song, it has gotten me through a lot. I love the vulnerability and fragility of it, which is not only evident in the lyrics but in Delta's voice and the piano, too. I have taught myself this on piano, and playing it often makes me feel better. Hats off.

Delta Goodrem – Out of the Blue Lyrics 18 years ago
Whilst it could easily be about Mark, and I can see where everyone is coming from in that regard, at her 'Visualise' concert in Sydney she said that this song is 'not about what everyone seems to think it's about'. However she refused to say what it was about. Given that it is 'widely known that this song is about Delta’s relationship with Mark Philippousis', I would say that's exactly what it's not about, but about someone else, a friend, maybe a sibling or relative she was never close to, or even God, who found her 'out of the blue' and brought her out of her pit.

Relient K – The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything Lyrics 18 years ago
Call me Captain Obvious, but I actually think this song is about a group of lazy pirates who sit around all day and don't do anything. Far-fetched I know.

I am an avid fan of VeggieTales, and whilst their shows and movies hold a lot of meaning and a good lesson for kids, I don't think this particular song was specifically written about anything, other than the pirates in the Jonah movie.

Six_strung_out, that is a great idea, and would make a fantastic sermon, but don't turn a kids song into a philisophical thesis!

But I must ask, if this song can go so deep, do other silly songs, such as 'The Waterbuffalo Song', "The Song of the Saboo', 'The Hairbrush Song' and 'I Love My Lips' also have a allegorical meaning?
