Hey BlackLungFever, I know what I am talking about when it comes to music. I started the piano before I went to school. I am the first chair trumpet player in my jazz band. I also play the guitar and bass guitar. Let me tell you this, now days it doesn't take any talent to be #1 on the charts. With all the technology you can make a record that sounds great with people who don't have a clue what they are doing. Look at Nelly. I saw him live on t.v. once, and it made me less talented by the minute. So whats real music talent? I would say in rock it would be bands like Rage Against the Machine, Bad Religion, NOFX, and other similar ones. However, I realize the most musicially talented people to walk the earth were the great composers of the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic time periods. Like Mozart, Beethoveen, Vivaldi, and Chopin. There are many more, but I don't want to list them all. If you are going to argue with me over music, make sure you know what you are talking about. "Sing, sing a song. I am a pretty die-hard AFI fan. I listened to them long before Sing the Sorrow, and let me just say that I do wish that they would go back to the days of "Shut your mouth" and "Black Sails", but at the same time I learned to like Sing the Sorrow. In fact, I now like the c.d. a lot. These guys deserve all the fame they get. They aren't stuck up or greedy either. I just hope it doesn't get to over-advertised, like that good charlotte and simple plan crap. I guess I shouldn't ever compare AFI to gc or simple again. By the way, I think this song is really cool. |

I would have to agree with uhvguitarist, because I don't hate the U.S. government. But at the same time, there is room for improvement. I also think this song is awesome. One of the things that is great about Bad Religion is they don't just make fun of everything, they give real reasons and explanations for their beliefs. And if you do it that way, it is a whole hell of a lot easier to get people on your side. If you just say "fuck the us, it sucks", people are gonna turn away and be offendend, so it doen't do much good. But I think different from a lot of people, because I'm not a liberal or a conservative, I'm inbetween the two. Greg is a genius. |

I was going to buy this cd, but then i realized that i wasn't a gay fucking poser. I hate good charlotte. Always did, always will. Some fag on here said they are the master of lyrics. Obviousley this person has never heard rage against the machine or bad religion. Those bands write good lyrics, not this pop "punk" shit. Heres another thing. THIS BAND DOES NOT HAVE MUCH TALENT.
