i think it's about two people, that are in a relationship, and have come to the realisation that they havn't been honest with eachother, and they're telling eachother that if they don't fess up to what's going on, it isn't going to work. the whole "If you can't be honest I cant be honest with you We've got to..." part seems to mean that they've both realised that they've been hiding things, and they need to be honest to eachother, because they know that if they're not, it isn't going to work, and it's hurting them. |

this song is amazing. strikes a tear everytime it hits hard because both my grandparents died not so long ago funny thing is they were apart, one at home, and one at the hospital because she was really sick and when my grandma died in hospital, they called my grandpa, and when he didnt pick up, they went to go see, and he had just died also they died 4 minutes apart. as if one came to get the other. i love this song so much it reminds me when i had gotten right out of a relationship 4 months ago it was a 9 month relationship. and he cheated on me. out of nowhere. so so many lines hit hard.
