I agree that the song is about religious confusion and feeling betrayed by God. I think it has to do with someone leaning toward agnosticism. It's a very difficult faith (or lack thereof) to have. The title in itself suggests indifference and being neutral. There's obviously a lot more to it with the "Take me, take me" parts, but I think it's not a song that should be over analyzed at all. Jesse Lacey is amazing at explaining things through his lyrics and it's probably really about something personal that we'll never be able to figure out here. |

I think this song is about a break up in which both people try to still be friends, and then one of them, the one who was betrayed in the first place, finally says they are not so desperate and really don't need the other person anymore at all. The other person, though, ruined the relationship in the first place and isn't used to the other's newfound self respect and keeps calling and "doing drive bys". This is an "I'm over you." anthem. Love it. |

I think this song is about someone who perpetually has one night stands or buys prostitutes because, it supposedly is satisfying to just have sex, and he's looking for happiness. Eventually he becomes embarressed with himself because in his search for happiness all he's found is meaningless sexual pleasure. It makes him feel lost and confused about his life and stuck picking up partners and then dumping them because he's too scared to try to find happiness another way, or even just admit that he's not happy. Or I guess it could be applied to a woman too. |
