Taking Back Sunday – Up Against (Blackout) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I'm trying to figure out how to add a correction to the song, so I can fix the misuse of "your" and the missing apostrophes, but I can't find the button to do so. Any help, guys? |
Jimmy Eat World – Drugs Or Me Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Wow. It's funny how I've owned this album probably since mere months from it's release, but haven't felt anything from the lyrics until now. This is a beautiful representation on how a love's issues with drugs can affect yourself. |
The Used – Buried Myself Alive Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I actually got a line from this song, "This time, I'm not going to watch myself die" tattooed on me. I was in a relationship with a guy for a few weeks short of a year. Things were great at first. We were the same in so many ways-- among other things, we listened to so much of the same music. It was wonderful, he was wonderful, and I ended up falling in love with him. Nine months in, he broke up with me for the first time. We got back together. He broke up with me again the same day. He went to rehab, and when he got back we picked up the pieces and started where we left off. For months, I had been denying the fact that he wasn't treating me the right way. I put it to the back of my mind, forgot things right after they happened. I made excuses, like, "he loves me," and, "we're adults. It's different." Finally, I was with him one day, and it hit me, and I just left at 3 in the morning while he rolled over to fall asleep. He broke up with me, again, three days later. It hit me even harder when we broke up. I couldn't be with him. He kept begging me to get back together with him, but I told him I could only be friends. After a while, he basically told me, I either need to be with you, or I can't talk to you. "And if you want me back, you're gonna have to ask nicer than that." This line reminds me of this so much. To me, this song reminds me of how much this relationship broke me down and weakened me. My ex was abusive, not physically, but in almost every other way. The first is reminiscent of him making me feel guilty and everything else he put me through. "I think the chain broke away, and I felt at the day that I had my own time..." This is how I felt when I was free from the restrictions of the relationship. I started rediscovering my dreams and I could think much more clearly. And, "with my foot on your neck, I finally..." is me feeling like he doesn't have power over me anymore. It's my anger coming out. It's me fighting back. Most importantly, "Well, this time I'm not going to watch myself die." I'm not going to let a guy control me anymore. I won't let him force me to do anything. I will fight back, and do whatever I have to do, to make sure I never go through the traumatic shit I have dealt with before. And, I won't let myself lose sight of my dreams, again. |
The Mudbloods – Since March, Since September, And Still Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Thanks for the corrections. I adore this song. There's so much emotion in the lyrics, and in his voice. I just wish I could find the chords so I could attempt to make a cover a quarter as good as the original. |
The Mudbloods – A Pensieve Full Of Unrequited Love Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This song is on the album "A War Amidst Pop Songs" I bought this album at one of their shows almost two years ago, so I'm not sure where you could get it. Try amazon? If all else fails, maybe I could shoot you an email. :P |
Green Day – Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Yes, I agree entirely. I'm planning on getting the tattoo when I turn eighteen this summer. I've been wanting it more and more, especially after my grandmother has just passed a few weeks ago and remembering the time I went through more vividly with it. And I'm doing very well, thank you. :) |

Green Day – Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
My grandfather passed away when I was eleven. I moved a month and a half later, and my life completely changed as I knew it. I just went into a sort of depression, and was so scared of even leaving the house, because I felt like I could die so suddenly, too. I've gotten through that, but it's taken me a few years, and now I'm seventeen. I'm planning on getting a lyric from this song tattooed on my body, as a reminder of who my grandfather was, that I got through this time and am a much stronger person, and that I can get through anything, as long as I try. And, lastly, that I need to hold on to life no matter what happens. Things do get better. I'm not going to act like I completely worship Green Day, nor even listen to them on a regular basis anymore, but when I was younger, I honestly believe that they're the reason I did hold on to my life. They made me feel like I was in a completely different situation when I'd listen to their music, it was an escape for me. I feel like this song is one I'll never grow tired of, and that these lyrics really, really fit the situation I was in: "It's something unpredictable But in the end is right I hope you had the time of your life" Basically, what it means to me, is "we weren't expecting you to pass on when you did. you weren't that old, and it was so sudden and random, but in the end it's what's meant to happen, so im just hoping that you had a great life and enjoyed it as much as possible." |

The Whomping Willows – I’ve Had Harry Potter Inside Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Oh yes, I was at a WW's show and when Matt anounced he was going to play this song, my friend made the worst remark on the title... Oh, but it was so hilariously amazing. |
The Mudbloods – A Pensieve Full Of Unrequited Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Thank you, JohnnyMotif. I wasn't sure of the lyrics because it's so hard to find wROCK lyrics, so I've been typing a lot of them up myself, while trying to figure them out. I'll fix it. |
Mindless Self Indulgence – Bring The Acapella Lyrics | 15 years ago |

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – The Acoustic Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I prefer this over Your Guardian Angel. Honestly. This is just more... Raw, with no extra glitz and glamour, no stupid little effects. It's perfect. |
Anti-Flag – The Bright Lights of America Lyrics | 16 years ago |
16 year old girl, in a hollow cooped up place Just looking for some prettiness, But the cuts in her arm don't pay for her, very pretty view In her mind, she dreams that she is, far away, from... I'm guessing this is about a girl stuck in a bad home, who does self mutiliation, and she wishes she was in any place but america. A concrete city hell (City hell) Suburbs that never end (Just like an ocean) One parent lives in each of them, passed back and forth the upscrew to escape their bitter homes, I think this means, there's a boy whose parents are divorced, and they both live in different houses in different areas, and he keeps getting passed back and forth. And, there's a lot more kids like him. I just want you to know, There are whole houses full of fucked up kids like you and me (Can't find a place) So many lost in stride, caught in an endless fight To leave this empty ugly place, I'm leaving you as sane! Basically, this is saying, no, you're not alone. There's people going through the same thing as you are. And, they're trying to get away, but failing. |
The Hives – A.K.A. I-D-I-O-T Lyrics | 16 years ago |
:D I absolutely love it. |
The Hives – Closed for the Season Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I can't believe no one's commented this song! "So I'll ask you once I'll ask you twice and if you still can't give a reason I'll hang a blue sign over your left eye saying CLOSED FOR THE SEASON" It bascially means "if you don't tell me this I'm gonna punch you in your left eye." :) |
The Used – Find a Way Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I hated this song since the beginning's so weird, but I finally started listening to it, and I like it a lot now. Not to mention I'm going through some stuff right now and it's been giving me hope and helped me stopped worrying. |
The Hives – You Dress Up For Armageddon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
That's what I was thinking... That it was about the emo kids or something... And the thing with the emo band fits in a bit better. |
The Used – Choke Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song, haha I wish I could just blast it and run around screaming to it. It's so great. |
My Chemical Romance – Cubicles Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Great song. :D That's all I have to say. |
My Chemical Romance – Cancer Lyrics | 16 years ago |
b12... WTF? You've really got the lyrics messed up there. This song's the only song that's got me on the verge of crying at a concert/show. Honestly. (I was at the Detroit Projekt Revolution (2007) that was all over myspace... Gosh, that was amazing.) I think this might've been the song that got me back into MCR... I stopped listening for a long time because I felt like they were making money off of a disease that's taken the lives of so many great people. Now it's one of my favorite songs. I've learned how to play it on piano and I'm trying to get used to singing it. It's such an amazing, but sad song. sakura-k, I hope things get better for you. |
The Hives – Dead Quote Olympics Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Aha, this song IS brilliant. :D One of my favorites. |
The Hives – You Got It All... Wrong Lyrics | 16 years ago |
You got the lyrics to this song all... Wrong. ;) I'll fix it later. |
The Hives – T.H.E.H.I.V.E.S. Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Haha, this song is like "We're the Hives, and we own the world..." The neon sign, yeah they always have this huge red neon sign at their concerts that says "The Hives" "You're looking at black and white" They wear black and white suits, their insturments are all black and white... Etc, etc. "We rule the world, This is our world" Typical Hives additude. I think most of the song makes a lot of sense, but otherwise if anyone somehow gets confused I'll translate the rest. :P |
The Hives – Fall Is Just Something Grownups Invented Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Oh, and they had this song on cartoon network, I kinda have a feeling that they both teamed up together and made this song specififcally for cartoon network. |
The Hives – Fall Is Just Something Grownups Invented Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Well, this song is obviously about how kids get off of summer vacation, and go back to school in the fall... And they made this conspiracy that the adults made up fall and all that jazz. |
