Hmmm... Theres lots of different takes on this song. Which I feel that really every song means something different to every person. That's whats so GREAT about lyrics. To the writer it could mean something COMPLETELY different than to the listener. Heres my take: I do believe he's singing it to someone about this certain blue eyed girl.. :::If you could only see the way she loves me Then maybe you would understand Why I feel this way about our love And what I must do If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says When she says she loves me::: Whoever he's telling this to doesnt understand why he's with her and he's going his best to explain it to them. I could see how he could be telling a parent or even another woman. But whoever it is seems to be getting involved and trying to manipulate what he has with blue eyes. And he's saying :::Well you got your reasons And you got your lies And you got your manipulations They cut me down to size Sayin' you love but you don't You give your love but you won't::: That to me sounds more like it was another woman who he may have felt for in the past but she wouldn't love him like he wanted her to... And now that she cant have him and he feels for someone else she is wackin' out... This really is a good song. I would like someone to feel for me like he feels for blue eyes. |

Its about being in the spotlight... When famous you have all kinds of people telling you how to act, how to dress, how to live, what to buy, who to talk to, who not to talk to, how skinny to be, what to eat, where to go... your so controlled that you lose sense of yourself. Your job is to be pretty... and no body really understands what's really going on inside of you. They don't care what you think they only care about how you look. And I could only imagine that being really hard. The people telling you how to be... they don't really know what its like to be in that spotlight.. "I wish you'd take a walk in my shoes for a start.. you might think its easy being me... to stand still look pretty" Its songs like these that show us they are real. They have it hard. just because they have alot of money doesn't mean they are happy. Money doesnt equal happiness. |

| Pretty sure right now im the definition of that girl. Every relationship I have been I haven't been treated like I should. And now Im terrified to really commit or even start liking someone. I have been spending alot of time with this guy and for some reason some part of me will NOT let him in.
