| I'd been listening to this song for a long time, but never really thought about what its meaning might be until I realized that this is also my situation. This song means so much more to me now and I'm not even entirely sure that this is the intended meaning. | |

He doesn't know how to be happy. He wouldn't know how to react if everything in his life was perfect--if the perfect girl loved him as much as he loved her, he wouldn't know what to do. Every once in a while, when he thinks that he's lost her completely, he'll want--need--her back. He'll admit, again, that he's in love with her. However, when she does come back, he doesn't know what to do and pushes her away again. He's happier being unhappy. At least, that's my take on this song. |

whoever says this is about george w. bush is an idiot. and it's not just about conservative christians, mind you. J06 is the only one who's truly got it down. "So I'm sorry if I ever resisted I never had a doubt you ever existed I only have a problem when people insist on Taking their hate and placing it on your name" They are basically saying that no one but God has the right to judge people who they think are going to hell. Now, don't get me wrong, the death penalty to protect a community is an entirely different thing. God is the only one who ultimately decides what happens to people, so why bother telling people they are going to go to hell? Or tell them they are not worthy? |
