Maybe about a girl and a boy who live in a world full of hatred and darkness (We go where the wild blood flows). They had often disillusions with girlfriends/boyfriends, because love doesn´t count much for the other people in that world. And now the girl and the boy meet each other and discover that they are the only two people in that fucking world who can really love deeply (How do you love on a night without feelings?). The girl seems to be more optimistic as the boy (How do you love on a night without feelings? She says �love, I hear sound, I see fury� She says �love�s not a hostile condition�) but then he falls in love, too (Love me, wherever you are) Maybe that questions implies that they haven´t found each other yet, don´t know... |

And how could you leave me here so long With Uncle Walter" that sounds so funny^^ i know that situation, when a pesky person tells you so many uninteresting things and your buddy has to leave suddenly and you´re waiting ages until he´s back. and the piano sounds so great in that song! |

| Maybe he sings about his own death and a person who loves him is sitting next to him. She/He makes his death as pleasant as possible ("You fused my broken bones/ Back together again/ Lift the weight of the world/ From my shoulders again" means that she/he soothes his pain. "You touch my face" She/He strokes him.). And in the end he dies with a feeling of true love instead of fear. So that is the most beautiful death i can imaging (that´s my opinion anyway) and it shows, how important true friends and love are. | |

I think what he tries to say is, that the death isn´t so bad, but is more like a birth (by the way, birth and death are the most natural things at all) or simply a new beginning like the line "even an end has a start" says. And everything in your live is left behind, only you are going over that threshold. The line "Put something good on the ashes now be still" maybe means, that it is ok to grieve for someone. But we should remember, that we are only part of his old life. It may sound hard, but noone cares about a person, that isn´t born, yet (I mean not even an embryo, but a life that hasn´t started yet) so why should we think about a life, that doesn´t exist any more. |

one of the big subjects on Young For Eternity is the fear that the youth will end some time and that we will recognize that it was a very great time that will never come back. i´m 16 and i still have some years to be young, but i can imaging very good how it feels. and i think this song is about this feeling and that we shouldn´t take to much care of it and just enjoy the time that remains ("time is slow"). |

I think that it´s about a tragedy, too. The singer leaves the hospital, where just a friend has died and the first thing he sees are the "smokers outside the hospital doors" standing there because it isn´t allowed to smoke inside. Maybe waiting for the birth of there child or for a diagnosis, but surely completly uninterested in the death of the singer´s friend. Also I think that the singer is guilty for the death, because he has "dirty hands" and tries to suppress the thoughts on it with asking himself "have I been in the wars?". As if he doesn´t know, why his hands are dirty. And he wants to turn back the time to make everything not happened. That´s what I think he means with the question "Can I start this again?". |
