For god sakes kids haha, its not like an accident Arcade Fire is popular or something, they're smart, really smart, the even idea that this song could possibly be related Into the Wild or A Clockwork Orange is absolutely retarded. Laika is the dog that Russia sent into space without giving him the proper training or resources to actually survive and return alive. It's very clear this song is about the comparison between Alex and the dog. In the same way the Russian space program didn't prepare Laika with the proper training or resources to survive on his own in space, Alex's parents didn't provide Alex with the proper training or resources to survive on his own in the world, hence - Our mother should have just named you Laika! Not that difficult folks! |
