Actually you're half wrong. Its not neccessarily cutting your wrists, its waking up with cut wrists (not much of a different). I forget where but Cory Taylor has stated that the song's about sitting in a bathtub with cut writsts (not emo cuts, but like gashes) and just waiting there, letting yourself faint again (probably to die).
