Again, another one about a relationship, see a pattern? His girlfriend left him and he cant do anything about it. Not with a song, not with a pebble in the rio grande. He just cant seem to change her mine. In the midst of trying to stop her leaving, he kind of forgets his feelings. But as soon as she's gone, it floods him. |

I think it's about an old relationship. An old girlfriend that he'll always love but is trying to forget. Everyone has that type of relationship at some point, Dierks just puts it much more eloquently. |

It very well could be about someone with an eatin disorder, but it could be about Taylor herself, although I highly doubt it. I think it's about an average teenage girl, not liking her body, wishing that boy would like her, people thinking she's better than she thinks she is (golden one). We've all lived through this. You just slap on a big ol' fake smile and bear it. But inside it does hurt. |

I think that the girl and guy are still in a relationship, but he's just not into it anymore. The guy just likes to comfort of a relationship even if he doens't like the girl that much. The girl wants him to be there, so she fights him just to get some sort of emotion out of him. The girl finally realizes that it's over between them. |

This song kind of makes me think that this guy is in a bar, and shy maybe? But I have no idea.
