Sounds to me like soulfly is the type of person this song is about even though he doesn't seem to be American. Anway, when I first heard this song I was just thinking through the entire thing "YEAH FUCK YOU GREENDAY!" I think this song is just something towards assholes like the guys in Greenday who constantly critisize their own country for no real reason without giving any support when it's needed. By no means is America perfect but don't go anti-patriot. |

I'd like to start off by saing this song is about drugs so come off it. As said in earlier comments this song is based from Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, which I reccomend all of you read. After Caesar is killed the conspirators give the public an explaination of their actions and during that they agree to let Mark Antony speak. During Mark Antony's speech (lines 73-75 Act 3 Scene 2) he says "The evil that mean do lives after them, the good is oft interred (buried) with their bones." The whole song seems to be based around this, Setallica brings up some good points too, I think it could work for both. |

I think this song is about the slow destruction of the world caused by humans. "Nations cry underneath decaying skies above You are guilty, the punishment is death for all who live." Tha, to me, sounds like Ozone depletion on peoples ignorance of the enviornment. "Haggard wisdom spitting out the bitter taste of hate." This line seems like it is talking about the negative impact of most technology. "I accuse before you before you know the crime it's all too late." And this line seems to say most people are ignorant about what is happening and before its realized (which is happening now) it will be too late to save our planet. PS: I don't argue with anyone talking about the reference to "Out of the Silent Planet" by CS Lewis or "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. It seems to incorporate a lot. |

great song, its on the "eddie's archives" cd's if you're interested in hearing. I can't be too sure what it's about but i think it's talking about how many bad things in the world are being covered up or just not talked about. |

I am pretty sure this is about someone who is just coming into adulthood and is finally stepping into the real world. It is nothing as they had expected when they were young and now that the time has come for them to go out on their own they are a little bit confused as to what to do with they're life. Being confused they decide to take whatever comes to them, they don't like this but they are scared to actually go for what they think they want because they may not want it later. Pretty good interpretation for a 15 year old eh? |
