| Ray LaMontagne – Henry Nearly Killed Me (It's a Shame) Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This is very possibly the coolest song I've ever heard. Ever. The fast pace, his voice...it's wonderful. |

| Tom Petty – Century City Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I definitely thought of that when I first heard it. I'm hoping he knows it's recurring, and that he just needed an extra syllable in there. | |
| Bob Dylan – Tombstone Blues Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I love Vonnegut, and I've read Cat's Cradle numerous times. I've gotta say, I think you're mistaken, because I don't remember that in the least. I'm thinking it's an original Dylan line. Unless it's in some Bokononist Calypso I forgot. But I think I'd remember. |

Oh, god, do I love this song. Dhani looks and sounds just like George. It's both painful, and amazing, yeah? Looking at him, it might as well be the '60s again. And he's a great musician, in his own right. Awesome. |

I'm not fluent or anything, but in French doesn't 'Pas De Cheval' mean 'not some horse'? Or something similar to that? WTF? xDD Can someone please explain what the hell the title is supposed to mean? |

I love this song. It's my favorite so far. I especially love the part Ryan sings..."I don’t love you. I’m just passing the time. You could love me if I knew how to lie. But who could love me? I am out of my mind." I haven't even really thought about the lyrics yet, I just like the sound. I'm interested in what people think it's about. |

I don't think it could be about Elliott Smith for the simple reason that Elliott wasn't dead when this song was written... He killed himself in 2003. This was written before that. |

| Elliott Smith – Needle in the Hay Lyrics | 18 years ago |

obviously about drugs; heroin. Although I have to say, I love how some people don't get the lines "You ought to be proud That I'm getting good marks" Now seeing as I didn't write the song, I don't have much authority to say what it actually means and doesn't mean. however, I thought it was obvious that those lines were sort of bitter/facetious/sarcastic, referring to track marks you get from injecting heroin. |

'sinacle' isn't a word...it's cynical. and i believe that song's called "guilty pleasure", without the 's'. isn't it? |

| The Academy Is... – Seed Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I get the feeling that it's about a girl cheating on him. "I'm feeling this soft anticipation of the confrontation i won't make but how do we do, when we turned into something else entirely we fake it, oh i wanted it so desperately to be real.." He knows that she's cheating on him, but he can't bring himself to confront her, because he's still trying to deny it. They are faking the fact that they love each other, and he wishes it was real. "while he's letting you in, you've got the feeling you've been followed under your skin. it will be weighing on your shoulder, believe it." While the man that she's cheating on him with lets her into his house, she feels like she's been followed by her boyfriend. She hasn't really, but she feels guilty and therefore that leads to her feeling like she's be followed and he's watching her. She's paranoid. |
