Imogen Heap – Just for Now Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song. It reminds me of the holidays. |
Vanessa Carlton – Spring Street Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I definitely agree with the person above me about it being about her daughter. In the second verse it seems like shes singing about a former lover. And then she sings, "friends become strangers" which could also be about a lost friendship. So this song to me, is just about losing someone or letting someone go in general not someone in particular. |
Tegan and Sara – Dark Come Soon Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think this song is about lying to family members and friends. When she went back asking for their forgiveness, they might have blamed every lie and thing that happened; on her. So she acted like a child saying, "so what? i lied to me too." ...So basically she's being selfish and saying, oh it's no big deal I didn't just lie to you, I lied to myself also; that's what we should be worrying about. I'm not sure. That's just what I think it means... :) |
Tegan and Sara – Floorplan Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I really like this song. It seems to me that this song is about remembering a loss of a relationship, forever. No matter what, she will never forget what happened. And possibly what went wrong? And she wants to draw this person a "floorplan" to show her that she is sorry... maybe? LOL. |
Tegan and Sara – Burn Your Life Down Lyrics | 17 years ago |
UGH. My FAVORITE song off the new album! I absolutely love it. I think it is about someone who over analyzes life. And I agree with "slyoqi" think the last part is about a car crash. She obviously go hurt somehow and she is basically saying that you shouldn't go around over analyzing life because life is too short and you never know what can happen in a blink of an eye. This song says so much to me. It represents my life in a way. I'm kind of like the person who is over analyzing their life. |
Tegan and Sara – Soil, Soil Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm not sure what this song means but this song on the new album really stands out to me. It's very beautiful. Oh and I definitely agree with "ImpliedLove" It sounds like she sings that. It makes more sense. |
Tegan and Sara – Hop a Plane Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm thinking that this song is about either Tegan or Sara wanting closure in a relationship. Probably because she sings, "all I want to hear is that you're not mine." |
Tegan and Sara – Back in Your Head Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song definitely makes it clear that the person wants back into someones head (haha) maybe because they broke up on bad terms. She obviously messed up, and she's sorry. Even though she is still kind of unfaithful to her, she still wants her back and she'll do anything to "get back into her head." Sounds to me like a song about unrequited love. |
Tegan and Sara – The Con Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think that this song is about cheating on someone. |
Tegan and Sara – I Was Married Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I believe this song is about a homosexual relationship... I think when she sings, "they seem so very scared of us" and "I look into the mirror for evil that just does not exist I don’t see what they see." She is talking about how a lot of people don't accept them for being lesbians. Like "they" (the people who are "scared" of them) see evil while she (Tegan and Sara) see just a regular person, which is right. I believe homosexual people are just like straight people. Being gay myself, I applaud Tegan and Sara for writing this song. It makes a bold statement. |
Tegan and Sara – Nineteen Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think this song is about remembering someone; possibly a first lover. I also think it's about losing her virginity because of the first line, "I felt you in my legs before I even met you..." I'm not sure though. It's a great song. Definitely one of my favorite tracks off the new album. I downloaded it but I also plan to buy it in the store to get the DVD that comes with it :D |
