Neil and Tim have produced stunning songs together and this has to be one of the best. For those not looking, this song will probably evade most as it is tucked away on a non-commercial brothers album of generally very experimental songs. What a shame. Stunning, understated, deep, raw, musically brilliant and, as the last post said, honest. It sounds to me like Neil is wrestling with voices from the past. They will always be a close part of him, but have perhaps damaged him in some way. This is a solemn self confession. If you play guitar, tune 'G' down half a tone and work this one out using B minor (bar) and G minor (bar) shapes. It flows beautifully. Perfection in every way. |
