yeah i have to agree with ok pumpkin on this one. for me this song is about something horrible happening (come join in the last hurrah with open sores and open jaw) and everyone is in shock, but yet they don't really know what to do with themselves (how comforting that we feel it too who are we to promise we'll be leaving shortly). Of course I think every interpretation is right for the person who is thinking/feeling it. I |

I can't help playing this song on repeat :p Yeah I agree with most of you. I think he knows the relationship is crashing but he still loves her while she's "in a rush to throw [the relationship or him] away." He doesnt want to let go when she already has. |

Thank gosh. This song has such a great feel to it. Finally getting the guy that shes meant to be with. My favorite part has to be "Well, there's a million other girls who do it just like you Looking as innocent as possible To get to who they want and what they like It's easy if you do it right Well, I refuse, I refuse, I refuse" all the copies of girls who take advantage of guys and wear too much makeup :P |

Aww. This is such a cute song. Its alittle sad yes but he ignored everyone telling him it wouldnt work, and when the girl broke up with him of course he was hurt. I think the "They only wanna do your dirt" part means they only want to do you wrong... I could be wrong of course but the other interpretation seems alittle out of line with the innocent feel.
Is anyone else surprised how few comments this song has? |

So from a loyal GC fan why are we putting labels on music, and a great group? You dont think if more people start listening to them, they'll tour more? Haha for "every kid who ever got picked last in gym class... every kid who never had a date to no school dance... everyone who's ever been called a freak" the minorities you know but i doubt they are going to care if the group thats buying their cd is wearing abercrombie or hot topic. Eh well as most of their older fans would say it doesnt matter as long as they stay together and keep playing. |

Once again Christina has a great hit and the music video was amazing, I loved the whole old timey theme. But when I read the lyrics I bet Im not the only one that saw it wasnt as innocent as I had thought before. Very cute song and she is still one of my favorites. |

So i think Ill pop into this one as a rookie but I think most of you have the idea right. But I have to ask a question, in the part of the music video, the patient sees the back of a girl with a dress on, she turns around and has a gas mask on. Obviously theres lots of symbolism in this perhaps that the hopeful beauty has been lost to a corrupt world? Eh im not sure. I would appreciate the help gyuys. But I think this song means alot to anyone who has experienced a loss. The part that says "sometimes i get feeling shes wathching over me" giving hope that maybe we will see them again one day and they are missing us as much as we are them. |
