| Die When You Die is a song about being who you are and accepting your fate.its not racist ,homophobic, or even hateful. the lyrics dont sugercoat anything and thats why it pisses people off. the sad thing about how people interpet gg is that they just look at keywords and take the meaning from them. gg covers sensitive subject matter such as people with aids, then he mentions "niggers", homosexuals, and people with cancer so automatically people take it that hes venting and taking his hatred out on them but he's not. gg is simply expressing his sorta ftw attitude and envisions a world where people laugh in the face of their fate and have fun in their own fucked up way or they just go and fuckin' die. gg =brutal+poetic+ undomesticated man beast . rrrar | |

This song is about how the american system claims to be so free and a land of opportunity but for most people its just creatively stifling capitalist slave state. GG is obviously frustrated by how everyone expects him to submit and give up his artistic life mission and heknows that others are too. The last verse is actually very optimistic. people are always accusing gg of being "contrived" and just doing it for money but anyone who knows anything about this man knows that he really did not profit from his art. gg was extremely driven by an almost instinctual urge to create a legendary name for himself. he had balls. he went to jail countless times mostly due to his outrageous performances. we was hospitalized dozens of times. he probably lost more money than he made. gg allin wasnt a shock rocker. gg allin was a poet, an extremely inventive performance artist, and traveling cultural terrorist. he was above and beyond rock n roll. people who like stuff like dashboard confessional would dont get gg allin because they like music made by castrated men. that doesnt mean that they are fags they just accept what is shoved on them by the mega conglomerate music machine. |
